CCHT delivered another 300 snack packs with human trafficking awareness info (Thanks SLBC Women's Ministry!) and 700 personal hygiene items (Thanks CBF Field Personnel Butch and Nell Green!) to Pastor Ortiz in Laredo to be disbursed to those in need and at-risk of being trafficked. We were also invited by AHEC (Area Health Education Center) to speak on Human Trafficking Awareness in a Healthcare Setting at their Nursing Conference at the University of Texas Regional Campus-Laredo.
The Area Health Education Center of the Mid Rio Grande Border Area of Texas, Inc. is an outreach program under the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio with the mission of increasing the number of well-trained health care workers in the regions.
